CLASS SCHEDULE2026 RETREAT

Meet Milena Pastore, Founder, Owner & Healing Yoga Teacher

Warm Greetings! My name is Milena, and I am a chronic illness patient. I contracted Lyme disease as a young child from a tick bite I had while playing in my grandmother’s yard in Boulder, Colorado - a place where Lyme is still believed not to exist. I have endured my own debilitating, life-altering experience with tick-borne disease. I understand how devastating its impacts can be.

Through the depths of my illness journey, various yogic philosophies and practices proved to be a guiding light, helping me to connect with my body, regulate my nervous system, and quiet my mind.

I developed a unique style of asana that helped me to gently strengthen and bring fascial fluidity to my highly sensitive, aching body which was otherwise often bedridden.

Due to the effects of neurological Lyme, I struggled cognitively, yet, I immersed myself in yogic teachings, many of which stemmed from ancient times. The philosophies inspired me, helped to ground my perspective, and guided me toward self-development.

How I approached the many layers of healing

I studied and began practicing techniques that aided me in accessing vagal toning and nervous system regulation. Along with meditation and breathwork, these techniques became crucial when I could barely move my body and continue to shape my life and wellness journey.

My passion for healing through traditional, modern, and modified yogic techniques, including meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, asana (the physical postures), and Ayurveda (the Life Science of yoga), led and inspired me to create Soul Tribe Yoga Collective, an online yoga studio designed for others whose lives have been impacted by chronic health conditions.

Creating a healing offering for others

Soul Tribe Yoga Collective is a culmination of specialized and accessible offerings that I have curated and developed for others experiencing the challenging and prolonged effects of various chronic health conditions. Although I work with students who have various health challenges, the majority of my students have tick-borne diseases or conditions.

My offerings are centered on mindfulness, stress relief, nervous system regulation, vagal toning, lymph drainage, and fascial fluidity. Each of my carefully curated flows guides students in accessing a unique combination of strength, flexibility, and healing.

The healing yoga I teach is compiled from elements stemming from my study and practice of various yogic traditions, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Gentle, Kundalini, and Kaiut to create a yogic format that softly opens the body, quiets the mind, and introduces healing of various kinds. My programs are inclusive and accessible, as well as offered online and in person.

Who can benefit from healing yoga?

Serving the Lyme and general chronic illness community is my passion and priority. Through the years, I have supported the Colorado Lyme & Tick-Borne Disease Support Group, Colorado Tick-Borne Disease Awareness Association (COTBDA), Health and Human Services (HHS) Tick-Borne Disease Working Group, Global Lyme Alliance, and the Center for Lyme Action. My writing has been featured on Lymedisease.org and I have been a guest on the Tick Boot Camp podcast.

If you or a loved one are interested in learning more about the healing yoga services I offer, I invite you to reach out. You can message me by using the contact information listed below or by sending a message through this website.
